Why I Built This
Hi, I’m Talha Zulfiqar. I built Online Tasbih Counter (OTC) to offer a simple, accurate, and accessible way to keep track of daily dhikr (SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, and more) without needing to carry physical beads or losing your count past 60 or 70 repetitions.
Before creating OTC, almost every online counter I tried required account sign-ups, cluttered the screen with invasive pop-ups, or hid essential features behind a paywall. For something as simple and meaningful as daily worship, that extra friction made no sense.
So, I built the tool I actually wanted to use: open the page, tap, and focus purely on your remembrance. No app downloads, no accounts, and nothing standing in the way of your practice.

While the core tap-to-count functionality can be helpful for general tallying, Islamic Dhikr and Tasbeeh remain the heart of why this platform exists. Every single feature on OTC was added to solve a real, practical challenge during worship:
- Zero Friction: Open the browser and start counting immediately, with no sign-up or app installation needed.
- Privacy First: Your counts are saved locally on your own device. We do not track, collect, or store your personal counting data on external servers.
- Distraction-Free Experience: Simple sound alerts let you keep your eyes closed during dhikr, while dark color themes accommodate night counting (like Tahajjud) without screen glare.
- Automatic Progress Saving: Never lose your spot. If you get interrupted mid-dhikr, your count is right where you left it when you return.

I design, build, and maintain Online Tasbih Counter myself. My mission is to keep OTC fast, clean, and reliable for Muslims around the world. Core counting features will always remain free and accessible to everyone, supported only by non-intrusive banner ads to help cover basic hosting and server costs.
